Su Ürünleri İşleme, Şoklama ve Depolama Tesisi SEANOP, T.C. Sanayi ve Teknoloji Bakanlığı Rekabetçi Sektörler Programı kapsamında, Avrupa Birliği ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti ortak finansmanıyla Kuzey Anadolu Kalkınma Ajansı (KUZKA) tarafından yürütülmekte olan Sinop’ta Temel Sektörlerin Rekabetçiliğinin Artırılması Projesi kapsamında kurulmuş ve hayata geçirilmiştir. Sinop’ta su ürünleri sektöründe faaliyet gösteren tüm işletmelere yönelik ortak kullanım hizmetleri sunan bu tesis, su ürünleri üreticilerinin gelirlerini artırmayı, su ürünleri ekosistemini geliştirmeyi ve Sinop’u bölgesel bir cazibe merkezi haline getirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. 2012 yılında hazırlıklarına başlanan ve 2018 yılında projesi onaylanan Su Ürünleri İşleme, Şoklama ve Depolama Tesisi’nin inşaatına, 2021 yılı başında yer tesliminin yapılmasıyla başlanmış ve Temmuz 2023 itibariyle tamamlanmıştır.
